Meet the experts

Why choose us?

Emotion Experts was created by therapists who understand both the clinical work and the emotional demands that come with it.

With experience spanning early-career clinical settings, higher-acuity treatment, practice ownership, supervision, and leadership, we offer perspective that is grounded in real-world practice—not theory alone.

We focus on:

  • Practical therapist tools and language you can use immediately

  • Support that normalizes growth, uncertainty, and self-doubt

  • A balanced perspective shaped by different career stages

  • Sustainable approaches that reduce burnout rather than add pressure

Emotion Experts is not about doing more or being perfect.
It’s about helping therapists grow with clarity, confidence, and emotional steadiness over time.

Courtney Dolan, MS, LPC

Co-Founder | Therapist | Practice Owner

Courtney is a licensed therapist and practice owner with professional experience spanning case management, inpatient eating disorder treatment, and outpatient clinical work. Her background in higher-acuity and multidisciplinary settings has shaped a grounded, practical approach to therapy that emphasizes emotional attunement, clarity, and sustainability.

Earlier in her career, Courtney worked closely with clients navigating complex mental health and psychosocial needs, collaborating with treatment teams to support continuity of care. These experiences provided a strong foundation in systems-based thinking and an understanding of the emotional demands placed on therapists in fast-paced clinical environments.

Within Emotion Experts, Courtney brings a relatable, early-to-mid career perspective, focusing on supporting therapists as they build confidence, trust their clinical voice, and balance professional growth with the realities of everyday life and practice ownership.
